The 5k Training Group

Truly, this is running for people who hate running, who want to get in shape, who want to lose weight or who want to make a couple new friends. This training is NOT for people who are experienced runners.

Pastor Nate Rovenstine, who loves running but hates competition, will lead a 12 week training for community members who want to walk/run their first 5k. The training begins on Saturday, March 9 at 8 a.m. and will continue each Saturday at 8 a.m. until the Home Run 5k on Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day). The Home Run 5k benefits the Lawrence Community Shelter and Family Promise.
