The Holiday Homes Tour, an annual fundraising event now hosted by Heartland Community Health Center, announces it will feature seven Lawrence homes this year. The tour, now in its 14th year, will take place on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, from noon to 5 p.m. Event proceeds benefit Heartland and go toward its mission of providing access to health care for all community members, regardless of income or insurance status.

With a purchased ticket, people can tour the homes, which are decorated for the holiday season. The ticket cost is $20.00 and only 500 will be sold. The 2018 featured homes are:

• 4719 Balmoral Drive – home of Barbara & Richard Meidinger
• 133 Running Ridge Road – home of Angie & Troy Bird
• 728 Blazing Star Drive – home of Debbie & Gene Quirarte
• 2003 Palmer Court – home of Connie & Ryan Grimes
• 1728 Lake Alvamar Drive – home of Kelly & Richard Valbuena
• 1501 Inverness Drive, Apartment 230 – Brandon Woods featured property
• 1320 Haskell Avenue – home of Ashley & Aaron Weigel

“Troy and I are honored to be a part of the 2018 Holiday Homes Tour,” said Angie Bird, “because we believe Heartland fulfills an important need in Douglas County. We hope that by sharing our home on the tour this year, we will also be sharing the holiday spirit with our visitors!”

The Holiday Homes Tour was previously hosted by local safety net clinic, Health Care Access, but with a recent merger between the two organizations, Heartland is thrilled to continue the event, along with a dedicated group of volunteers in the Holiday Homes Tour committee. The event also includes a Holiday Shop, Bake Sale and Basket Raffle.

“The Holiday Homes Tour has become a popular tradition in Lawrence,” said Kris Marsh, Holiday Homes Tour chair. “So many people return each year with family and friends to mark the season with this meaningful and fun event. As always, the list of houses looks great this year, and with the ticket number limited to only 500, anyone interested will want to get theirs early!”

Tour tickets can be purchased online now and will also be for sale at both HyVee Lawrence locations beginning Friday, October 5. For online tickets sales or a list of dates when Holiday Homes Tour representatives will be at a HyVee store location, visit Heartland’s Holiday Homes Tour event page.
