The Holiday Homes Tour, an annual fundraising event that has generated support for local safety-net providers Health Care Access and Heartland Community Health Center for more than fifteen years will not be hosted by Heartland Community Health Center this year.

“Every year for the past 14 years, the Holiday Homes Tour Committee recognized the unmet needs in our community and through their unwavering support, took action to address one of the most pressing needs in Lawrence; access to high quality, integrated health care for all,” said Devon Kim, Heartland Community Health Center Board Chair. “The Holiday Homes Tour allowed local people to come together to address local needs through this wonderful holiday tradition.”

The Holiday Homes Tour was previously hosted by local safety net clinic, Health Care Access, and after the merger between Health Care Access and Heartland Community Health Center in early 2018, Heartland continued the event in 2018. The Holiday Homes Tour Committee, a highly dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers, led the effort for the annual event, which included the Holiday Homes Tours as well as a Holiday Shop, Bake Sale, and Basket Raffle.

“The Holiday Homes Tour Committee and the herculean effort they put into planning and executing an event with so many moving parts, truly illustrates for me the kindness and selflessness that makes our community such a special place,” said CEO, Robyn Coventon. “I had the pleasure of meeting the committee to express my gratitude and they are an impressive group who have been a blessing to our organization.”

Heartland and Holiday Homes Tour committee welcomes community partners and local non-profits to consider allowing this event to support your cause in 2019. For more information about how your organization can benefit from a holiday event, email Devon Kim at dkim@haaseandlong.com.
