We strive to keep you healthy and save you money with preventative medicine.
We provide Comprehensive Health Care that decreases socio-economic barriers and improves health results.
We build a healthier community by welcoming all who need care.
2021 was a tremendous year of growth for Heartland. With 19,756 patients coming to us for 57,763 visits, last year saw an 82% increase in patients and a 99% increase in visits. Between our River City and Panda Pediatrics locations, we saw 228% more patients ages 0-17 in 2021. Our Healthy Futures outreach team provided care for children in 93 schools across nine counties in Kansas. We provided care for groups that have been historically marginalized including 213 transgender/non-binary patients, 364 veterans, and 369 people experiencing homelessness.
In 2021 we opened a brand new beautiful building. We laid the ground work to open River City Pharmacy. And best of all, we provided potentially life-saving services for people who would otherwise not have access to care.
Heartland seeks to expand access to health care, promote healthy lifestyles and build healthy communities. We treat people of a wide-variety of socio-economic statuses, and we never turn a patient away based on their inability to pay.
Through Heartland Community Health Center, Heartland Panda Pediatrics, River City Pharmacy, Healthy Futures, and The Care Cupboard, we aim for all people in Douglas County to view Heartland as a trusted choice for all their health care needs.
Located at Heartland Community Health Center, River City Pharmacy offers the convenience of getting your prescriptions filled at the same time as your primary care, dental, pediatrics, and/or mental health appointment.
Individuals experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to a known positive can receive COVID screening and testing at our health center.
