CAPTIAL CAMPAIGN

Heartland invites you to join us as we CHANGE OUR WELLBEING in Lawrence-Douglas County. With your support, Heartland anticipates moving into a new facility in Fall of 2021. Your gift to our Capital Campaign will help us create a Community Health Center that will serve this community for decades to come.

As the need for access to health care increases, so does the requirement for space and staff to serve patients. The renovated Health Center will provide almost 10,000 sq. ft. of additional space and is located along Lawrence’s central “health corridor” near Heartland’s closest partners (LMH Health, Bert Nash, Lawrence Douglas County Public Health Department). This location will include family medicine, dental, behavioral health & psychiatry, an expanded food pantry, a drive-through pharmacy, and much more.

Become a food pantry volunteer

In the Heartland Care Cupboard, volunteers can directly help meet the needs of community members. Through a partnership with local food bank, Just Food, Care Cupboard volunteers show their dedication to serve others by committing to volunteer during Care Cupboard hours. Volunteers help create a welcoming atmosphere while assisting clients in choosing healthy meals for their families. Click here to download the volunteer application.
